omg...today i've been real bad!! this afternoon mum n dad was asleep, bro go to work..so in the kitchen...i made my own marshmallow!!^^ heee~~
i found a recipe on the net..rupenye making marshmallow is very easy lar..all u need is gelatine+sugar...n corn syrup to enhance the flavour n texture, but it is not essential..i myself dnt put in the corn syrup cuz i cant find it in the kitchen..haha..driving to jusco will take at least 20 minutes le..malaslah..plus, since when do i have a car? wakaka!!^^
ok ok now i'll stop talking nonsense. Back to the marshmallow, hav u ever tried making marshmallow urself? well if u hvnt then u really should try lar!! really fun taw! n very easy i promise!^^ my favourite part is beating the syrup into thick, creamy, icing-like paste..it's like making royal icing lol..
oh ya..after pouring the mixture into the container, bcoz i like the texture so much (n no one is around) i scraped out the remainder using my finger, n (instinctively) put it into my mouth~~hahaha is tht a bad thing to do? but i can't help it lar..when u try u'll know how hard it is to resist the temptation..dont blame me plz...T_T
oh ya tht marshmallow mixture is REALLY DELICIOUS!! it is generally sweet of course, but also slightly salty n have a hint of vanilla..the texture is almost like fresh cream on cakes, but thicker. And the smell! ohh...i feel like i want to finish those in the container too!! i think marshmallow taste a lot better when it is still in cream form lah (do u actually call tht 'cream form'?? entahlah..). To note, though i put many photos of confectionery here, i'm not a fan these of sugary stuff. But this marshmallow cream is undeniably delicious.
The recipe says i have to wait for at least 3 hours, or even one day for the marshmallow to set, so i have to wait lah, its been six hours but it hasn't got firm enough..do i really have to wait for one day?? wish me luck ya!!^^
